During this trip, our guide, Mr. Chen, with his solid professional skills and composed narration, transformed Badaling from a mere tourist attraction into a historical site worthy of understanding and reflection. Mr. Chen's explanations were both insightful and logical. He didn't rush to conclusions, but rather unfolded the story layer by layer, starting with the background of the Great Wall's construction, its historical context, its military function, and the sacrifices of ordinary people, placing the grand historical narrative back into the context of real people and the era. Listening to his explanations wasn't just about gaining knowledge; it was about feeling the weight and warmth of history. Beyond his professionalism, Mr. Chen's sense of responsibility and meticulousness were even more impressive. It was a wonderful experience to see the beauty of Mount Fuji in real life. We felt truly Lucky that it revealed itself to us- it made moment even more special and unforgettable. They provided excellent guidance via WeChat from the boarding instructions until the return trip. Even in the scenic areas, the drivers used translation apps to share necessary information, so I was able to get around without any major inconvenience. Please note that there isn't much time for a proper meal and the food isn't particularly good, so I recommend packing something simple to eat the day before. Also, please note that for itineraries including the Shambhala Pagoda, you have no choice but to take the 5:30 PM bus back, so please keep this in mind when scheduling.
