This was an amazing tour, Adil was very friendly and gave excellent advice. Be sure to research the weather for Hobbiton as it is a fully outdoor tour. Be prepared for a long day! Totally worth it!

Reviews: Hobbiton & Waitomo Caves Guided Tour from Auckland with Lunch

David is amazing tour guide. He is very knowledgeable and professional. The tour is a great experience that is hard to miss if your are visiting New Zealand. The Waitamo Cave tour is more impressive than the description. The hobbitown is like a paradise. We were able to get free drinks during our trip. Umbrella is available to borrow if it starts raining. We were able to go inside the hobbit house and check out the fine furnitures. These two places are worth the trip.
Reviews: From Auckland: Spellbound, Waitomo Glowworm Cave Small Group Tour

The experience in Auckland was fantastic! Our guide was very friendly, caring and knowledgeable. He introduced each viewing spot as we passed through each town, like a lesson on the journey. Afterwards, we came on a Spellbound Fireflies and Cave Tour. The guide introduced us to the formation of stones and caves. The caves and fireflies were amazing! The sparkling fireflies created memorable memories for us. What a wonderful trip! Great experience in Auckland! Our guide was so nice, caring and knowledgable. He introduced every viewpoint when we pass through each town. Just like having a lesson through the journey. After that, we arrived to the Spellbound glowworm & cave tours. The guide introduced the formation of stone and cave for us. Both of the cave and glowworm were stunning! The shinning glowworm created an unforgettable memories for us. What a nice trip!

Both caves were cool for their uniqueness, but the Waitomo Caves were remarkable for the dazzling display along the indoor boat ride! The Mauri community preserves this site very well and makes it special. Our driver Marty was a definite impediment though. His accent was so heavy, most of us on the bus struggled to understand what he was saying! His driving was frightening at times. I am not sure he's a good fit for accomodating tourists as he isn't terribly friendly or hospitable as he was insistent on only going to places that would serve him a free meal or drink as a tour guide. This activity may be better if booked with a different agency in all honesty.
