Reviews: Christ the Redeemer & Sugarloaf: Rio City Tour with Lunch

We really enjoyed the tour. We saw all of the places mentioned in the tour description. It was a little fast paced, but if you want to see the major sights of Rio in one day, this is a good tour for it. Monica was an excellent tour guide who explained in multiple languages - English, Spanish, and Italian.
Reviews: 1-day tour of Christ the Redeemer + Sugarloaf Mountain + Selarón Steps + Sambadrome in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

The tour guide was super nice, and the lunch was delicious, a barbecue buffet. The itinerary was very reasonable. My group was basically a private tour, with only four of us! Of course, the weather was very bad, which was a good thing because it was low season. I couldn't see anything about the Christ the Redeemer statue, and the Theron Steps were also very boring. The church itself was only worth visiting, and the Christ the Redeemer statue was worthwhile.

A great tour of the highlights! I originally planned to do the full day tour with lunch and decided to change to a half day tour. I'm so glad I confirmed this half-day option. This tour included the usual highlights: Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain via cable cars, and Selaron Steps. I wish we had about 10 more minutes at the steps but it was due to a group of selfish tourists ahead of me in line for the section of the steps with the name who decided to do a full photoshoot of about 5 poses per person with different combinations of the 6 people in their group and ignored the pleas of others in the line. It didn't seem like the other tourists in my group wanted the extra time for shopping provided during the Sugarloaf Mountain part of the tour. Perhaps, the guides can ask for general preferences at the beginning of the tour and modify times accordingly. Lucia(Lucy) was a wonderfully kind and patient tour guide and the driver, Marco Antonio, was great, as well. Lucy provided extensive historical information and graciously answered questions from the group all while alternating effortlessly from English to Spanish to Portuguese while maintaining a smile. Book this tour! See the highlights and still have your afternoon free to explore. Tips: 1. Prepare accordingly if you have motion sickness as ascending and descending the mountains can be rough and winding, 2. Get in line for the steps first if you want the part with the name. Then, take pictures in other sections if you have time, 3. See if the location of your country or state's tile is listed online so you know where it is and can take a picture quickly and not waste time looking for it, 4. Don't worry about all the people in your pictures as you can easily remove them with AI like I did😉
Reviews: Climb to the Top of Sugarloaf Mountain

Thanks for the professional guidance of Mingo! I found that this activity has not been new for a long time, I hope my comments can give you a little suggestion. Rio in July is not hot or cold, very suitable for mountain climbing. Thanks for the experienced help with Mingo! We spent a happy afternoon with stunning view all around the trail. This is an adjustable trail which can vary depending on your physical condition so don't worry about an unexpected end of it or missing any excellent part on the rock cliff. My advice before you start is wearing shoes both reliable and unslippy. Thanks Mingo again. And I think there is no better praise than a next reservation.
