History of Atami Fireworks Display The Atami Fireworks Display is one of the most popular summer events in Atami City, with a rich history and charming charm. This fireworks display has been held since 1925, allowing people to feel the brilliant fireworks and joyful atmosphere on summer nights. By the summer of 2024, it will usher in its 73rd year.

"Takogawa Onsen" in "Superb View One-Day Hot Spring Ryuguden Main Building" is a newly built hot spring where you can see the beautiful scenery of Lake Ashi and Mt. Fuji at the same time. The building here is also very special. The exterior of the building is modeled after the famous historical attraction Byodoin Phoenix Hall in Uji, Kyoto, and it has a history of about 80 years since its completion.

It was built in 757 during the reign of Emperor Koken (the Tenpyo Hoji year of the Nara period) by Mankan-shonin, who practiced Buddhism in Mt. Hakone. It has a history of over 1,200 years. The three deities, Ninjago, Konohanasakuyahime-no-Mikoto, and Hiko-Hino-Hino-Ide-Mikoto, are enshrined here. They are collectively called "Hakone Okami" and have various powers such as bringing good luck and warding off disasters, fulfilling wishes, ensuring traffic safety, and protecting good fortune. In the past, they were worshipped by many military commanders such as Minamoto no Yoritomo and Tokugawa Ieyasu, and are now widely worshipped by the people.
