Reviews: Christ the Redeemer & Sugarloaf: Rio City Tour with Lunch

We really enjoyed the tour. We saw all of the places mentioned in the tour description. It was a little fast paced, but if you want to see the major sights of Rio in one day, this is a good tour for it. Monica was an excellent tour guide who explained in multiple languages - English, Spanish, and Italian.
Reviews: 1-day tour of Christ the Redeemer + Sugarloaf Mountain + Selarón Steps + Sambadrome in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

The tour guide was super nice, and the lunch was delicious, a barbecue buffet. The itinerary was very reasonable. My group was basically a private tour, with only four of us! Of course, the weather was very bad, which was a good thing because it was low season. I couldn't see anything about the Christ the Redeemer statue, and the Theron Steps were also very boring. The church itself was only worth visiting, and the Christ the Redeemer statue was worthwhile.
Reviews: Christ Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain and Selarón Steps 6-Hour Tour

A great tour of the highlights! I originally planned to do the full day tour with lunch and decided to change to a half day tour. I'm so glad I confirmed this half-day option. This tour included the usual highlights: Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain via cable cars, and Selaron Steps. I wish we had about 10 more minutes at the steps but it was due to a group of selfish tourists ahead of me in line for the section of the steps with the name who decided to do a full photoshoot of about 5 poses per person with different combinations of the 6 people in their group and ignored the pleas of others in the line. It didn't seem like the other tourists in my group wanted the extra time for shopping provided during the Sugarloaf Mountain part of the tour. Perhaps, the guides can ask for general preferences at the beginning of the tour and modify times accordingly. Lucia(Lucy) was a wonderfully kind and patient tour guide and the driver, Marco Antonio, was great, as well. Lucy provided extensive historical information and graciously answered questions from the group all while alternating effortlessly from English to Spanish to Portuguese while maintaining a smile. Book this tour! See the highlights and still have your afternoon free to explore. Tips: 1. Prepare accordingly if you have motion sickness as ascending and descending the mountains can be rough and winding, 2. Get in line for the steps first if you want the part with the name. Then, take pictures in other sections if you have time, 3. See if the location of your country or state's tile is listed online so you know where it is and can take a picture quickly and not waste time looking for it, 4. Don't worry about all the people in your pictures as you can easily remove them with AI like I did😉
Reviews: Two of Rio's Best: Christ the Redeemer & Sugarloaf Mountain Half-Day Tour

Good way to see both the Christ Redeemer and Sugarloaf. Decent amount of time at both locations. Van comfortable. Easier than doing it yourself.
Reviews: Rio de Janeiro: Sugarloaf Mountain Hike and Climb

The experience is 100% recommended for those seeking a bit of adrenaline and wanting to get off the beaten path to climb Sugarloaf Mountain. It's much more enjoyable without crowds, taking in views unlike those from the cable car, observing wildlife, and hearing interesting stories and details shared by the guide (in our case, Sergio) along the way. No prior climbing experience is necessary, although any prior experience (even a little) will be very helpful.
