My trip to the Chengdu Panda Base and Sanxingdui Museum was very rewarding! I saw Hua Hua and Ye, the siblings, and many other pandas. We entered the museum at 8 am, just when the pandas were at their most active. Sanxingdui left a very good impression on us; the tour guide was incredibly professional! The driver was also very nice 👌🏻, patiently introducing Chengdu's sights throughout the trip, and providing excellent, warm, and attentive service! Thank you! I highly recommend Ctrip's travel packages; they're time-saving and incredibly reliable! There were no other expenses during the entire trip!★

Our tour guide, Shanshan, was a beautiful and meticulous woman from Chengdu. Besides providing thoughtful and detailed itinerary planning, she also made adjustments based on our needs. 1. Professionalism: An Immersive Experience Like an Archaeological Site
· Rich Knowledge: She not only possessed in-depth knowledge of the artifacts themselves, but also provided detailed introductions to casting techniques, sacrificial systems, recent archaeological discoveries (such as the recent excavation progress of Pit 6), and even compared the similarities and differences between Sanxingdui, Jinsha, and Central Plains cultures.
· Guided Explanation: Faced with intriguing questions like the "extraterrestrial theory," she didn't dismiss them, but instead guided us to observe the clear cloud and thunder patterns and dragon-shaped ornaments on the artifacts, asking rhetorically, "Would extraterrestrials use traditional Chinese patterns?" This allowed us to draw our own rational conclusions.
2. Experience Design: A Carefully Choreographed Exploration Drama
· Clever Route: Avoiding peak crowds, she designed the optimal route between the main exhibition hall and the restoration hall, ensuring the best vantage points for key artifacts.
• "Detective-style" interaction: She would point to the empty hands of the bronze standing figure and ask, "What do you think he was originally holding? Ivory? Jade cong? Or…?" This encouraged us to guess before revealing the mainstream academic view, making it a very enjoyable experience.
• Further recommendations: After the visit, she recommended the CCTV documentary "Encountering Sanxingdui Again" and the Jinsha Site Museum, keeping our curiosity alive.
3. Service and warmth: More than just explanations
• Thoughtful preparation: Visitor information was provided in advance, along with line drawing cards of artifacts to help understand the complex patterns.
• Excellent patience: She remained smiling throughout our quirky questions and slow pace, and we were reluctant to say goodbye to our "guide" at the end.
• No forced sales: Pure knowledge sharing, an excellent experience.
Summary: If you want your Sanxingdui trip to be more than just taking photos and checking off landmarks, but to truly understand "why China, why ancient Shu," then choosing her is definitely worthwhile.
