Reviews: Hobbiton & Rotorua including Wai-O-Tapu - Small Group Tour from Auckland

Amazing places to visit! We had a great driver who's knowledgeable and accommodating to ensure a pleasant trip for all of us. There were about 6 of us, so a small group which is great. Very enjoyable and recommended!

Parking is well organized, the geothermal activity is incredible, and the walk through the park lasts about two hours. The landscapes and colors are amazing; you just have to put up with the sulfur smell! I was a little disappointed by the geyser, which is artificial and therefore nothing like the real Icelandic geysers!

Great place to be. The landscape is so unique. The smell of Sulphur is quite pungent. So if you have really young kids they may find it hard. The staff are pretty chill. Really good food options and cafe too.

The tour is super nice, Luke our guide was very engaging and gave us plenty of information. We not only learned about the reserve, but also about Māori culture, and some fun facts about New Zealand’s nature and history. Top experience.
