This tour is more focused on history than sampling of food. We visited fountains, churches, the archive building, a square and the market. In the market we sampled two items, a deep fried chickpea flat bread and an arancinii and selected from an orange or pomegranate juice. Then at the end of the tour we selected from a gelato or a cannelloni.

An incredible experience – a trip to Palermo is incomplete without this guided tour. The story was told in an incredibly engaging way, opening our eyes to the true realities of the Sicilian mafia. The guide spoke in such engaging and detailed terms – I'd never before encountered such an open, honest, and authentic account of something that is commonplace for the locals. The wonderfully planned route and several extraordinary surprises along the way made this experience a lasting memory.
