Reviews: Beijing Private All Inclusive Tour: Mutianyu Great Wall and Panda House
Guest User2025-06-20
We had a great time on our Panda / Great Wall tour. Yanna our Guide was very friendly and knowledgable about the area and pandas. Yanna meet us at the Hotel and took us to our first desternation the Pandas at the Beijing Zoo, be prepared to que as people want to take photos. Then we had a pleasant drive to the wall going up via the cable car. We had a lovely day with Yanna.
Reviews: Full-Day Mutianyu Great Wall Bus Tour with 5 Hours at the Site (ENG/ESP/RUS Guided Bus)

Our snowy trip to the Mutianyu Great Wall was absolutely magical. Seeing the Great Wall blanketed in white snow was a breathtaking wow moment—I completely fell in love. The bus arrived on time, and our tour guide Amelia explained everything clearly on the way, which made us feel prepared and at ease. She also explained the different routes on the wall and gave us the option to choose, which we really appreciated. The countryside buffet included with our ticket was delicious and comforting—something I would happily choose over Burger King or Subway. We also loved the optional Great Wall certificate as a meaningful keepsake. The cable car ride going up was a bit scary, but the ride down was smooth and enjoyable. We’re very glad we chose Mutianyu over Badaling. There was a small misunderstanding about an earlier bus departure, but the lady organizer handled it kindly and professionally, personally apologizing and making sure everything went smoothly. The experience was surreal!

I'd like to share my experience. It's warm on the wall on January 8th. The temperature is just above freezing. Those accustomed to Far Eastern and Siberian winters with temperatures of -20-30 degrees Celsius will find it very comfortable. We haven't tried the green route. It's shorter (1.5 hours) and easier. We climbed the red route (2.5 hours) from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, taking 40 minutes each way. From 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, it's a stroll. From 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, it's a dash up steep steps. The steps are of varying sizes. Watch your step. Wear light shoes. And don't dress too warmly. A wet back, and maybe even something else, will ruin the experience. It's better to dress lightly and sportily, and pack some extra gear in case the wind picks up.
Reviews: All-Inclusive Private Guided One-Day Tour to Mutianyu Great Wall and Ming Tombs
Guest User2026-01-22
Susan is a fantastic guide and we had a brilliant day to remember with her. The Sacred Road was awesome, and there was hardly anyone else there which made it very special. Ming Tombs were interesting, and Susan‘s descriptions were very informative. And ultimately the Great Wall was… well… Great! Strongly recommend Susan as your guide for the kind of trip we did or for anything in Beijing. She’s full of knowledge, really interesting and great fun.
Reviews: Beijing Private Tour: All-Inclusive Mutianyu Great Wall & Summer Palace
Guest User2025-11-19
Our private tour to the Mutianyu Great Wall and the Summer Palace with Andy was an absolute highlight of our trip. Andy's planning was flawless, from the punctual hotel pickup to his brilliant strategy of getting us to the Great Wall ahead of the crowds. We enjoyed a peaceful and breathtaking experience there, all thanks to him. His knowledge brought both sites to life; he shared fascinating stories about the Great Wall's history and painted vivid pictures of the Empress Dowager CiXi’s life and pastimes at the Summer Palace, making the Long Corridor and every detail truly captivating for both me and my teenage daughter. Andy wasn't just a guide; he was a wonderful storyteller who created a seamless, engaging, and unforgettable day for us. We cannot recommend him highly enough.
