Reviews: Arrowtown and Wanaka Highlights Tour from Queenstown
Guest User2025-08-10
The guide was great. Funny and knowledgeable. And each site was beautiful. I would say it’s too long in wanaka and not long enough in arrowtown though as there’s lots to see and do there. It’s probably worth spending the whole day there and it’s only a 20 minute drive from queenstown. Wanaka is pretty but nothing really going on other than a view of the lake.

The views get better as you climb. The guide carefully explains safety procedures. I chose the intermediate level, but it requires a certain level of physical fitness. I didn't realize that transfers were included when booking in Japanese, but they did provide transfers to the town of Wanaka. By chance, someone from the Queenstown tourist information center contacted me and told me about the transfers.

Outstanding way to spend an hour! Gorgeous views and the skipper (Toby) was wonderfully cheerful & knowledgeable. A delightful time indeed!
