A day trip by speedboat. No Chinese, but surrounded by four Koreans and a group of foreigners. The crew was incredibly helpful. Since I can't swim, they took me down to Koh Tao. I followed them along the way and saw beautiful corals and schools of fish. The weather was fantastic today, during the rainy season in Samui. The clear blue waters of Koh Tao and Nanyuan Island were stunning. There's also accommodation on Koh Tao, which is quite peaceful. I'm considering staying there for two nights.
Reviews: Thailand Krabi Ko Hong Speedboating/Longtail Boat/Sailing Boat Day Tour [Snorkeling & Cliff Jumping]

I participated in February 2026. The hotel pickup was about 30 minutes late, but the rest of the trip went smoothly. I didn't encounter anyone who looked Japanese in Krabi town over the three days, and there were no Japanese people on this tour either. The female guide was very nice. The meeting time was written on a sign, so it was fine even if you don't speak much English. Perhaps because it was the dry season, which is a good time, there seemed to be a lot of tourists on every island, but since I was there, I wanted to visit some remote islands, so it turned out to be a good experience. Since the speedboat gets you to the island faster than the longtail boat, I felt like you could stay longer on the island (I'm not sure, but I think so, since we overtook several other boats). Snorkels and masks are available for rent on the boat (no flippers). Since it's not a rocky area, there are only a few fish to see (and no coral), but it's still enjoyable, so I recommend it. There were also a few solo travelers.

A great excursion with an international group. The guide, DADA, was great, vocal, and made sure to confirm the group's meeting time at every stop. I didn't quite like the lunch; it's an acquired taste. We had lunch on Pakbia Island, which is a very small space, not even equipped for dining. No tables, no benches. Our first stop was Hong, which lasted almost two and a half hours. We first climbed to the observation deck, then relaxed and swam on the beach. Then we took a ride into the bay, just circled it, then Pakbia for lunch. Lao Lading was the last island. I don't understand why they call it Paradise Island; to me, Pranang is just as beautiful and there's less trash in the water. It's a good thing we chose the speedboat – we quickly flew from No Parrat to Hong and back.
