This day trip to Sun Moon Lake and Cingjing Farm from Taichung was incredibly well-planned! The morning's scenery at Sun Moon Lake was breathtaking. At noon, we visited Ita Thao Old Street, where the tour leader recommended delicious black tea and gua bao (steamed buns), which were full of local flavor. In the afternoon, the sheep show and stunning mountain views at Cingjing Farm were incredibly relaxing. A special thank you to our tour leader, Xiao Yi, for her detailed explanations, attentive care for everyone, and even taking beautiful photos for us – the whole trip was filled with laughter. Xiao Yi's professionalism and enthusiasm made this day trip well worth the price! Highly recommended for anyone wanting a relaxing trip to Nantou!★

The tour guide Vincent is very friendly and helpful. 3hrs one way from Taipei to Sun Moon Lake and then spent 4hrs there. We have about 2 and 1/2 hrs free time there where you can have lunch, walk around the town or ride a bike.★

In the morning, the bus stops at Fengjia, Miyahara Ophthalmology, and the High-Speed Rail Station for a guide to pick you up. After a brief restroom stop at the High-Speed Rail station (mandatory), we drive for two hours to Sun Moon Lake National Park. Our guide, James Lo, is a Hakka (probably?) who speaks Minnan, Chinese, English, and Japanese fluently, and can also speak a few words of Korean. Since I couldn't use Naver Line, he contacted me via KakaoTalk for further instructions, and I was picked up from the Watsons Fengjia branch in Fengjia. This tour is a land, sea, and air themed excursion that includes a stop at the Wenwu Temple at the entrance, a cable car ride (standard), lunch (a hearty yet simple local Chu ethnic group set meal), a cruise with a local captain (with commentary in Chinese), and even bicycle rental fees. You can experience the beauty of Sun Moon Lake efficiently and quickly. Before returning to Taichung, you can sample and purchase high-quality local premium black tea, suncakes (the bubble tea flavor is truly unique), lemon cake (similar to Japanese versions), and cheese mochi (highly recommended) at the souvenir shop. The guide provides excellent, professional guidance and answers questions readily. They even teach you how to pray for good fortune at a Taoist temple and how to win the lottery. If you ask, they will send you a list of great restaurants near your accommodation. They are also great at telling jokes. Thanks to this guide, this trip was truly enjoyable. I recommend this tour to those who prefer bus tours and are accustomed to sticking to a fixed schedule and moving around together. The stops are quite generous, and the guide skillfully avoids crowded spots to visit beautiful and scenic locations. Even those who wish to stay in one place for a day or two might find this a good way to get a taste of the experience beforehand. If you are visiting Taichung, you must visit Sun Moon Lake first. I highly recommend it.★

We had the best English tour guide Ms Muse Velez who accompanied us in every scenic spot and even offered to take good photos of us. She is also excellent at explaining the history of Taiwan. Overall, it was a fun experience especially the sky lantern, tasting the street foods and souvenir shopping all in 1 day. Highly recommended!
