Reviews: From Ho Chi Minh: Vung Tau Day Trip with Christ the King, White Palace and Local Food

We booked an English-speaking tour for our Vung Tau day trip. There were five of us: two Chinese tourists, two Italian tourists, and one Iranian tourist. The tour guide picked us up from our hotel early in the morning. The vehicle was fantastic, very comfortable, and despite the long journey, it wasn't tiring at all. The tour guide was a very handsome guy 🤵 with excellent English and comprehensive explanations of the sights. The lunch he arranged was also very good. The only downside was that he forgot to drop off one of the Iranian tourists at their hotel in Vung Tau at the end of the tour, so the car had to drive for quite a while before turning back. Overall, the Vung Tau trip was quite enjoyable.

The guide was great, but I think Vung Tau itself is a place to relax, not a place to visit for a day trip.
Reviews: Vung Tau One-Day Tour from Ho Chi Minh [English/Chinese Tour Guide + Jesus Mountain + White Palace + Beach Walk]

We were picked up at our hotel, and all sightseeing was carried out as planned. We traveled with five people, with two English-speaking guides and one Chinese-speaking guide. The Chinese was loud, so the atmosphere was a bit chaotic, but we finished safely. The tour itself was satisfactory, and the meal was delicious.
Reviews: Long Tan and Nui Dat - Australian Battlefield one-day tour from Ho Chi Minh City

Many thanks to our charismatic tour guide Dingo Chien who made our trip to honour the Australian and New Zealand war efforts in Vietnam very memorable. Dingo proposed an early start to beat the city traffic and this was a smart move which allowed us to enjoy more time to pay our respects at Nui Dat and Long Tan. Dingo has put a lot of time and thought into creating a very respectful experience for Aussies wishing to visit this iconic site. His bonza personality and collection of memorabilia and passionate knowledge of our digger’s contribution made the day enjoyable from start to finish. Complete with a look at a nearby basic VC tunnel system, which was easier to traverse than the Cu Chi tunnels we had visited a couple of days earlier, the day was more than worthwhile for a couple of CMF/Reservist ex servicemen who appreciated the opportunity to pay homage to the bravery of our troops. Great work Dingo!

I liked seeing a coastal resort and areas outside of Ho Chi Minh. The Jesus statue was impressive. We also sat and swam at the beach. It’s a long way to go but it’s a thoroughly enjoyable day. My only thought was rather than bus, it could be interesting to go by ferry.
