Reviews: NEW & CHEAPEST Visit 5 Top Sights in Zipaquira & Guatavita PICKUP
Guest User2025-12-22
Excellent tour. The history of the Guatavita case was very enjoyable, and visiting the colonial town of Guatavita is beautiful—a magical colonial town with a cathedral of gold and emeralds. The ascent to Lake Guatavita is a unique experience. But visiting the Zipaquirá Cathedral is spectacular, something unique that you can't miss. It's a marvel, something singular, a stroke of genius located 180 meters deep. Eating in a typical Llanero restaurant with Colombian cuisine is delicious and fun. But I think everything seemed easy thanks to our guide, Julian. Professional, friendly, responsible, and knowledgeable about everything. 100% recommend the tour.

Lina Burgos, the tour guide was very personable and had a wealth of knowledge on the coffee and chocolate regions of Colombia. I am now more discerning of my coffee choices.
Reviews: Create Your Own Colombian Emerald Ring
Guest User2025-11-29
We met our guide next to a bakery right by the Gold Museum. It was nice he gave us a tour where the Emerald history and outdoor sales occur before we started our jewelry making. The guys helping us make a ring were fantastic! There were about 6 of us in a room with 2 experts plus our guide and we each had a lot of help melting down the metal and shaping the ring. Note, you can choose to upgrade/add additional emeralds ranging from $30-$120 USD. Pro-tip: pick out a design first, our guide showed us pictures from their IG account. The ring turned out much better than I anticipated! Great unique souvenir that showcases the amazing significance of Colombian's gem.

Camilo gave us the best tour ever!! Full of views, eats, shops, and knowledge. We even got to help some young students with their English class while having some tea. We are so thankful that Camilo was our guide and actually requested to have him guide us on another tour! He knows so much and even helped me with my Spanish a little!
Reviews: Bogotá Tour: Monserrate, Food, City Walk & Botero Museum

This was a really fun tour, with five other guys and our guide, Lifred. I had just arrived in Bogota, two days earlier, and on my first outing to La Candelaria, the day before, I'd lost my camera to a pickpocket, which unnerved me, a bit. I thought a tour would be a wise move, to hear from a local about the pros and cons of walking around Bogota, places to avoid, learn about the scams, etc. Lifred, our guide, was very knowledgeable. We convened at a bar, the morning of the tour, checked everyone in, and then hiked to the base of Montserrate, and took the "funicular" to the summit, where we got good pictures of Bogota and the surrounding mountains. We then took the tram/gondola back down, and got lunch, went to museums, had a fruit tasting/seminar, saw Bolivar square, had a coffee making/tasting demonstration, and wound up the day at another bar, for chocolate with cheese, and a game of "Tejo," a national game involving trying to hit triangles filled with an explosive powder to make them pop. It was a good day, and nice having a group of guys around, after having my camera stolen as a solo traveller, the day before. Lifred shared a lot of knowledge about the food, history, politics, and customs of Bogota, as well as some helpful safety tips. In fact, I'd have hired his company for a tour to a coffee plantation, the following week, but the last tour of that type for the time being fell on a day in which I was scheduled to move from one hotel to another, across town. Great tour, and well worth the money. MD Dec. 2026
