Reviews: From Rome: Pompeii, Amalfi Coast, and Sorrento Day Trip

I really enjoyed this day trip! If you’re looking for a way to pack in Pompei on a quick trip to Rome, it is really a bang for your buck to be able to have transportation, entrance, and a guide prearranged. Our guide gave lots of information about the Rome and the areas of Italy we were driving through. Transportation was a charter bus with air conditioning (comfortable enough for me to fall asleep in). Sorrento was a nice bonus, but unless they change the schedule, you will likely arrive during the afternoon when most shops are closed. Still lovely to see the city, and some of the inlaid wood shops were open, which were beautiful. The free limoncello was a nice touch, and it was overall a long!! but enjoyable day. Bravo Barbara especially!!

Our guide Diego was fantastic. Super energetic and well informed. Only downside was the rain, but nothing anyone could do about that

An amazing visit. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the site and the passion she has for Pompei shone through. Definitely recommend!

The organ transplant clinic and the overall tour were excellent. There was ample time in Pompeii to see the most important sites and learn about them. Positano is also very beautiful, although it would have been helpful to know that the shops aren't open year-round. However, this didn't detract from the visit. Two or three cafes/restaurants were open. The only downside was the first and last stops on the highway. The prices for food and drinks were far too high for the poor quality. I even saw flies in the Americano... The tour operator can't be held responsible for this. It's advisable to bring your own food and drinks for the journey there and back. All in all, it was a very successful day trip.

From the meeting point, we were greeted by Clemente, who immediately introduced himself and guided us to the shuttle, where we met Bruno, our driver. On the way to our first destination, Sorrento, Clemente made the ride fun by sharing history, laughing with the group, and playing great Italian music. The same great energy continued on the way to Positano and then Amalfi, our final stop. The time spent at each location was fair and well balanced. Bonus: In Amalfi, we had the option to take a boat ride along the coastline for €15 (cash only) bring cash unless you want to pay ATM fees). The boat ride lasted about 35–45 minutes and included some history plus views of cool spots, including the small town where The Equalizer 3 was filmed. Among other stuff. Overall, the price for visiting all three destinations was fair, and the total tour time was about 8+ hours from pickup to return. Everything felt well organized and not rushed. I would highly recommend this tour.
