Our guide Matt was extremely well informed on the history of the sites, and an interesting guy as well. Our weather was rainy with heavy fog which limited our viewing pleasure, but Matt kept us positive. There is a lot of uphill walking in this day. My health app noted I walked over 17,600 steps and climbed an equivalent of 57 floors, so be prepared for a real workout and dress for total comfort. The sites are amazing though. At least it wasn’t crowded!★

Our guide was lovely and passionate, and we had a wonderful day with her. She provided numerous explanations and recommendations about the various sites we visited, and we also had interesting conversations during the drive. Sintra and Cabo da Roca are definitely worth visiting; Cascais, a seaside resort, was less interesting.
