Reviews: Rethymno Bali & Panormo: Samaria Gorge–16 km Hike Experience
Guest User2025-10-30
The hike through the gorge is breathtaking. You walk through it independently, allowing you to set your own pace and take breaks to take photos and enjoy the views as you please. The tavernas at the end of the hike offer local food at fair prices. A swim in the sea and a sunset boat trip perfectly round off the day. The transfer also went smoothly, and the staff were friendly. Thumbs up!

Excellent organization, very friendly and helpful team; we even got a free waterproof phone case. The jet skis were great too. It was a lot of fun.

A magnificent setting that, in my opinion, is well worth the trip. Even in peak season, there are secluded spots away from the crowds, allowing you to truly enjoy the experience. The guide was very kind and clear in her directions.

This was a fantastic Segway tour of the Old Town. Our guide, Theo, looked after us magnificently - he kept a great pace, was friendly and informative. Our tour included a taste of some fantastic local chocolate and a refreshing drink in a square near city hall. Thoroughly recommend! It was well worth the 90 min bus ride from Heraklion (where we were staying) but if you can, buy your bus tickets ahead of time (the buses (coaches) fill up.

The sommelier expertly guided us through the tasting, telling us a lot about Cretan wines and their history. The wines we tasted were delicious, and we even bought one to take home.

We were a very small group of three people. Our tour guide, Maria, was fantastic; she didn't just push the agenda but really engaged with us, told us about herself, and was genuinely interested in us and what we wanted to see. The old town is definitely worth a visit. It has many winding alleyways with bars, restaurants, and small shops. We enjoyed it very much.
