Reviews: New Orleans French Quarter Walking and History Tour

David was very knowledgeable & engaging. We learned a lot of interesting facts, saw many things from a different perspective & had a great time with him. One of the highlights was the art galley on Royal St. where my son got to play the blues.

No way I could have learned all the amazing things about NOLA’s rich history if I had not signed up for this tour. Libby is a great story teller and her depth knowledge of history is super impressive. This review can’t do justice to how amazing this experience was!
Reviews: Whitney Plantation Tour with Transportation from New Orleans
Guest User2026-01-22
We had a great experience visiting Oak Alley Plantation, and a big part of it was thanks to our driver, Kin. Originally from New Orleans, he shared a lot of knowledge about the city’s history during the drive and gave us excellent recommendations for places to visit and restaurants to try. He was truly great and very professional. I highly recommend him! His vehicle was also very comfortable, which made the trip even more enjoyable. As for Oak Alley itself, the visit is interesting for anyone who wants to see the inside of a former slaveholder’s house, as both the mansion and the grounds are very well preserved. The guided tour of the house is paid, but access to the gardens and the former slave quarters is free. If your main interest is learning more about the lives of enslaved people, I would recommend visiting Whitney Plantation instead, as it offers a deeper and more focused perspective on that history.
