The day trip was amazing. We had a great time learning about Alaska, its weather, forests, and wildlife. The ice museum was impressive. We dined at the restaurant — the food was delicious. The hot springs were just what everyone needed — a place to relax and soak..

Reviews: Skagway: Scooter Rental with Map and Riding Lesson

Riding scooters around Skagway was definitely one of the best ways to explore the area. You arrive at the office in the centre of town and you are driven to spot outside of town where the bikes are kept. Basic training on how to operate the bike is given before commencing, however I wouldn’t recommend this activity unless you are confident with riding bikes and riding on the main road. The speed limits on the roads you ride on are relatively low and I found other motorists to be accommodating. One thing to note is the ‘kill switch’ on the handle bars which stops the scooter from starting. I accidentally enabled this and I thought the bike was faulty. It wasn’t, that switch just needed turned off again. It’s worth noting this as I imagine it’s a common mistake people make especially if not used to the bike. The staff members at Skagway scooters were very friendly and helped me resolve this issue.
