Thanks to the driver Noe, I had a very pleasant trip to Borobudur and Prambanan. Noe is very kind and knows quite well about places in Yogyaka. He arranged a good local lunch and a knowledgable guide for Prambanan. Really recommend him if you have a chance to Yojia.★

A worry-free travel experience. Conducted by local tour operator, Journeast Indonesia Tour & Travel. Everything was taken cared off from hotel pick-up & drop-off, tickets (and guide at Borobudur). Lunch was at own expense and ended up near Prambanan Temple - the restaurant was off the beaten track and was so tranquil with great food & staff to boot. Hendra, the driver/guide was a great (and I may have talked his ear off as conversation went everywhere...hahaha).★

Excellent trip seeing both the stunning Prambanan Temples and ruins and the fantastical Pranayama ballet. It’s not French ballet but traditional Indonesian performing arts. Just like Peking opera has little to do with European opera. Our guide Zee is very knowledgeable and helpful. We also enjoyed the meal at the local restaurant that she recommended.★

Borobudur climb is tightly managed by the authorities at the site. You may get lucky and get a good local guide at Borobudur with a strong command of English (or not).
Merapi was interesting, but if you thought you would be looking into a volcanic caldera, well that's not what this volcano is about. You look at it from about 2 km away and from below. You do see the puffs of smoke coming out of course. The viewing area is a bit dusty, to be expected of course, and a line of local shops hoping to get some tourist money.
Prambanan is a highlight, particularly if you get there for sunset. In some ways, this site was more satisfying than Borobudur.
We did our tour over 2 days to these sites. I think trying to do it in one day on a hot and humid day would be tiring
A good guide will also take you to clean places to eat, which our guide did. The food was excellent and amazing value for money.★

The communication with my driver Iskandar was friendly and fast. He picket me up on time and we started talking immediately. He was very interested and drove safe and calm. Both Tempel were amazing to visit. I went to prambanan in the morning, got lunch in between in a very nice restaurant besides a river and went to borobudur after midday. It was very hot but because of the limitation of tickets to go up I didn't have another choice and I still enjoyed it very much. Totally recommend going there with the company. Thanks again
