A worry-free travel experience. Conducted by local tour operator, Journeast Indonesia Tour & Travel. Everything was taken cared off from hotel pick-up & drop-off, tickets (and guide at Borobudur). Lunch was at own expense and ended up near Prambanan Temple - the restaurant was off the beaten track and was so tranquil with great food & staff to boot. Hendra, the driver/guide was a great (and I may have talked his ear off as conversation went everywhere...hahaha).★

What a fabulous day! Our guide picked us up at our hotel door. He was a true gentleman. He was friendly, kind, and extremely informative. He answered our questions about agriculture, culture, religion, driving…he knew everything! We went to the Buddhist temple. A very interesting tour and an amazing piece of Indonesian history. We then went to the Merapi Volcano, where we were driven in a Jeep to see some artifacts about the volcano eruption in 2010. The day was a bit cloudy so we couldn’t see the top of the mountain. The last stop on the tour was the Hindu temple. Our guide had amazing stories to tell..he was extremely informative. It was a fabulous day…I only hope that I can retain half of all that he told us!★

An excellent tour. We had a great conversation about the history of Java and how Indonesians live today. As a first-time visitor to the country, I found it very interesting. The food along the way was delicious. I would never have tried most of the dishes without this tour simply because I didn't know where to find them. At the end, I was offered a local traditional challenge: walking blindfolded between two trees in the square behind the Sultan's Palace. According to legend, if you make a wish and successfully complete the challenge, it will come true. I wasn't able to test its effectiveness, as I successfully entered the tree (actually, no; the guide stopped me). Overall, I recommend it. A great option for a nice evening.★

The communication with my driver Iskandar was friendly and fast. He picket me up on time and we started talking immediately. He was very interested and drove safe and calm. Both Tempel were amazing to visit. I went to prambanan in the morning, got lunch in between in a very nice restaurant besides a river and went to borobudur after midday. It was very hot but because of the limitation of tickets to go up I didn't have another choice and I still enjoyed it very much. Totally recommend going there with the company. Thanks again★

It happened to be a one-on-one tour, and I was very satisfied with the content. The guide was fluent in Japanese, so it was perfect, and he was very considerate and took lots of photos. This price does not include tickets, so it was quite a splurge of about 13,000 yen extra! (Borobudur about 450k, Prambanan Temple 400k, Mount Merapi attraction 450k rupiah). I especially recommend it for those who want to know more about history!
