On this tour, you will walk through the streets of Old Town, the Jewish Quarter, and cross the Charles Bridge.
Along the way, we will show you where the original defensive wall of Old Town, with its moat, used to be and explain the significance of the Powder Tower. You will also see the House at the Black Madonna, known as the most famous cubist house in the world. At the doorstep of Charles University, we will teach you some Czech, show you where Mozart premiered his Don Giovanni (considered one of the best operas ever created), and instruct you on how to read the famous Prague Astronomical Clock.
After viewing the Astronomical Clock, we will take a short coffee and restroom break before continuing to explore the Jewish Quarter. Here, you will see the Old New Synagogue, the Old Jewish Cemetery, and hear the story of Golem, the most famous legendary creature of Prague. Although we won't visit the interiors of the synagogues due to ticket requirements, we will explain what they display inside and provide guidance on obtaining tickets for later visits. Finally, we will cross the Charles Bridge and conclude the tour at the John Lennon Wall.
By the end of the tour, you will be ready to further explore Prague. You will receive excellent recommendations for attractions to visit, discover Prague's best museums, and gain insight into the history behind its most iconic sights.
We won't visit Prague Castle on this tour, but we have another great tour that covers the interiors of the castle. More info here: https://www.getyourguide.com/prague-l10/complete-prague-castle-tour-small-group-t551759/?preview=FYLAQ7UF1JJAQR32S8415S1ELGI7QLKP
