Reviews: Langkawi UNESCO Geopark Discovery – Half-Day Eco & Nature Escape
Guest User2025-11-30
The tour wasn't a half-day one, as the title suggested. It only lasted 2.5 hours. We took a boat ride around the island, along the river and through the mangroves, stopped at a bat cave, saw eagles (we didn't feed them, as stated), and also stopped for lunch. Everything went very quickly. I wish it had lasted longer.

The itinerary was good. The only drawback was that we wasted 40 minutes at the hotel. Otherwise, the actual tour time was about 2 hours. The price was okay. It would have been cheaper if we had booked locally. The online service was very good.

The transfer from Lage Kavi port to the island is very simple. Don't expect the boat to be comfortable, but it will definitely take you there...))) And from the island to the boat, a different boat (a short transfer)...))) Have a nice trip.

The tour was excellent! The price was great; they charge $50 per person for a similar tour in Thailand. We loved everything, and the golden eagles were especially impressive.
Reviews: [Official Ferry] Koh Lipe - Langkawi

We used this service for our trip from Langkawi to Koh Lipe. The booking process was easy, but finding the check-in counter was a challenge. It's good we did it the day before departure; on the day of departure, you might not make it in time. Arrive at the port early; check-in starts 90 minutes before departure and ends 45 minutes before departure. My suggestion to Trip.com is to add a GPS location or map in the description to make it easier and quicker to find the check-in counter. The ferry ride is comfortable, not too bumpy, and there's a restroom. Upon arrival, groups of passengers are transferred to smaller boats for the journey to shore. The boats are large and enclosed, so luggage doesn't get splashed; they're not the pointy little boats someone mentioned. The online ticket was cheaper than buying it on site. It's better to exchange some money for baht upfront; 200 baht is just for the tax, plus food and expenses. The air conditioning on the ferry is very strong, so it's best to take a sweater or jacket to avoid catching a cold.
