GOSPEL HELIOS

The Helios Gospel Choir, directed by Dominique Magloire, offers an extraordinary performance exploring the different types of gospel. The choir performs in the prestigious Parisian churches of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, La Madeleine and Saint-Sulpice.

On the program, you'll be treated to iconic gospel songs such as “Oh Happy Day”, “Amazing Grace” and “Oh When the Saints”, performed by today's top French gospel artists.

Dominique Magloire developed her passion for music as a child, joining gospel choirs. She made a name for herself nationally and internationally, appearing in such musicals as Gone with the Wind, Cleopatra and The Twist Years. Her reputation has also earned her involvement in the Gospel pour 100 Voix and Gospel sur la Colline productions.

Dominique Magloire has also explored other vocal art forms. She studied opera at the Conservatoire and won prizes in singing and chamber music. As a result, she has had the opportunity to perform great classical works such as Verdi's Traviata, Mozart's Requiem and Gershwin's Porgy and Bess.

In 2012, she became a revelation on the TV show The Voice, performing songs by Johnny Hallyday. In 2015, she performed in the musical Gospel sur la Colline at the Folies Bergère. In 2019, she took part in the Together show hosted by Éric Antoine and Garou. In addition, she appeared in the musical Ménopause, written and directed by Alex Goude. In 2021, Dominique Magloire will take part in the All Stars season of The Voice to celebrate the program's 10th anniversary.

Thanks to her multiple experiences, she is also artistic director of “Gospel Hélios”, an ensemble dedicated to promoting gospel music in the Parisian churches of Saint-Germain des Prés and Madeleine.
