Loved, loved our time climbing this amazing active volcano! Alan our guide such a young but very knowledgeable gentleman. Alan was amazing at explaining everything that envolved our hike. If you de use to experience this phenomena, make sure to wear hiking shoes, mosquito spray, sunblock, and take plenty water & snacks.

The experience at Lake Atitlán was wonderful. The guide—a descendant of the Maya, with profound knowledge and immense warmth—made each visit to the villages and churches a true learning experience. The boat tour was impeccable, and the group, diverse in languages and lifestyles, created a very special atmosphere. It was a pleasure trip from beginning to end. The least positive aspect was the transportation. On the way there (5 am), the driver was talking on his phone and laughing very loudly, which bothered everyone on the bus. On the return trip, coordination was slow: I had to wait quite a while to be assigned transportation, and the driver who finally arrived was also talking and texting while driving, which made me feel unsafe.
