Itinerary
Our meeting point, between Congress and Hofgarten, is right in the historic heart of Innsbruck. We'll start our hike at 10:00 a.m. and quickly leave the bustling city center behind. We'll hike along the Inn to the Hans-Psenner-Steg. We'll now cross the Inn over this bridge and climb towards the Alpine Zoo. Above Innsbruck, our path leads to the district of Mühlau, from where we'll enter the gorge. Always along the roaring mountain stream, past countless small waterfalls and unusual rock structures, we'll keep going higher and higher. After leaving the gorge, the paths widen again and we continue our way to the idyllic Arzler Alm. Here we've reached our "high point" and after a break, we'll head back to civilization. Slightly descending, we'll roam the forests above the Hungerburg until we reach our end point at the Hungerburg. From there, the city center is easy to reach by train or bus.
