Pao was an amazing guide. Much more than just a Tuk Tuk driver he also went into detail about every place we visited. We learned a lot about country living. Pao, like most people in Cambodia, has an additional job, he is a farmer. He brought us to a number of farms and explained the way of farming in great detail. He was also a Buddhist monk for two years and we learned a lot about that life as well. The tour was not only to the attractions but also about Cambodian life.

We had an amazing time with our tour guide Sam, he was full of information at every stop and told us loads about the Khmer Rouge and his experience during that time so that context was really useful when we saw the killing caves, though it was difficult to hear about. My partner and I were the only ones to book onto the morning section so we got a private tour for the first part! We learnt loads about the Cambodian culture and their way of life and it was fascinating to see how they make things like rice paper and rice noodles - we even got to try some spring rolls and rice wine (strong stuff at 10am but still tastes nice). The afternoon part was great fun doing the bamboo train and seeing the bat caves but if you want a proper look into real Khmer culture I’d massively recommend doing the full day experience, we got to see so much and it’s such great value for money.

The Real Soul of Cambodia: I am so grateful I skipped the big tour operators for this experience that touched my inner core: - A Guide with Heart: Pao is a local farmer with an incredible life story. His English is excellent, his knowledge is deep, and his spirit is even deeper. To him, you’re a guest in his world and he welcomes you with an open heart - True Authenticity: You’ll witness the rhythms of farmer life (how they live, what they eat) and even taste exotic food if you are brave enough - the BBQ grilled rat was a highlight! - Flexibility: I wanted to skip the Bamboo Train, and the guide Pao swapped it for a stunning, serene Buddhist temple. It felt like exploring with a friend - Impactful Travel: By booking this, you directly support a local family and their community. Your money goes where it actually matters. If you want an intimate, flexible, and deeply moving experience, Pao is the guide you need. I’m so grateful I met him សូមអរគុណច្រើន ប៉ាវ 🙏🏻 (Thank you very much, Pao!

We had a great day with Mr Lychee touring around Battambang. We were able to adjust the tour to suit our family. Mr Lychee was a good and considerate driver, knowledgeable, and friendly. He explained where we were going, and gave us some background information once we were there. We have no hesitation in recommending his tours.
