Reviews: Belfast Political Tour-Conflicting Stories Walking Tour

As with many reviewers we had Robert and Mark as our guides. We found Robert to be a very easy person to like and engage with. His stories brought me to tears on several occasions as he seems to genuinely want a peaceful solution for all. Mark was very informative but his story felt less personal and more negative. I sort of ‘get’ why this would be but it did make the second half of the tour harder to engage fully with. I’d have been interested to hear Marks back story. As a completely neutral Scottish lady who grew up in the 70s this tour was really enlightening as when you are a child watching a one sided narrative of what’s going on in the British press it can be hard to fully appreciate both sides of the story. So thank you to both Robert and Mark for telling your stories and giving a little more perspective.

A truly memorable tour, discovering Belfast and hearing about The Troubles with Arthur Magee, who lived through those times. The walk, walls, photos, stories, the insights and the humour left us thoughtful. And playing his music as we walked the roads, truly elevated the experience. My family, including our teenager, came away enriched and thoughtful . In the end, Arthur shared a fantastic list of films, books, music & videos from Northern Ireland. An absolute ‘must do’ tour for an authentic experience in Belfast and hear about The Troubles. Arthur Magee made it truly exceptional for us!

Fantastic tour, Paula was great and gave us an incredible insight into the complex history of not only Belfast but the Island of Ireland and it's relationship with Britain. Would strongly recommend, this is a must for anyone visiting Belfast!

This tour is a great experience because the guides really feel the history they are talking about. They speak from the heart and really explain what was going on during "the troubles". Our guide was Kevin and he was GREAT! He knows how to make us understand the XX century conflict in Ireland and took us to some important places in Belfast.

A well-organized tour. David, an attentive and very kind guide, shared his knowledge and songs with good humor. Extraordinary sites! The sun was also shining on us. A truly extraordinary day.
