Lake Sevan
Stunning natural scenery: As the largest alpine lake in the Caucasus region and one of the highest-altitude freshwater lakes in the world, Lake Sevan covers approximately 1,360 square kilometers and consists of two parts - Little Sevan and Big Sevan. The crystal-clear waters display shades of blue and green under sunlight, resembling dazzling sapphires, earning it the title "Pearl of Armenia."
Rich cultural heritage: On the narrow peninsula northwest of Lake Sevan stands the Sevanavank Monastery, built in 874. It consists of two churches named "Holy Apostles" and "Holy Mother of God," which share similar appearances with cross-shaped floor plans. With a long history, the monastery's frescoes and carvings inside the churches are outstanding representatives of Armenian art.
A wealth of entertainment experiences: Lake Sevan is a famous tourist destination, offering visitors a variety of recreational activities such as swimming, boating, and sunbathing. Visitors can enjoy leisurely lakeside moments and embrace the beauty of nature.
