Reviews: Christchurch round-trip + Aoraki / Mount Cook + Lake Tekapo + Church of the Good Shepherd + Lake Pukaki 1-day tour

It was a fantastic English-language day tour with friends from all over the world on board. The drivers were from Nepal, the US, and New Zealand. They were very friendly and professional. The journey was quite tiring, but Ye kept chatting with us, making us feel less lonely. Although the itinerary was rushed, it was still very fulfilling, and we visited all the places we wanted to see.
Reviews: Christchurch: Tram, Punt and Gondola Ride Combo Ticket
Guest User2026-02-19
Planning from UK, I think I read the gondola cable car's last ride was 4pm so was concerned how we could fit it in with the tram and punt in a single day. I guessed 10.20am was a good starting time for the 30 minutes punt ride. On site, the staff at the Cathedral Junction office was helpful. The punt was not from the Worcester Street punt mooring but from the boathouse at Cambridge Terrace which required us to alight from a different tram stop and walk a bit further. The punt trip alongside the Botanical Gardens was worthwhile. The tram took us around to the gondola shuttle bus stop at tram stop 2, but we missed the hourly pick-up by 2 minutes. It was not raining so good to fill in the time viewing the cathedral building site and visit the modern library. A great day. I could have been reassured how doable it all was - maybe this review will help future travellers.
Reviews: Arthur's Pass Day Tour From Christchurch via Castle Hill
Guest User2026-02-09
Clive was a great guide, very helpful and knowledgeable. Followed his recommendation to take a jet boat ride at the home of jet boats, Alpine Jet. I'm glad I did, as I'm sure that I would have regretted it if I hadn't. Castle Hill was spectacular, the views from the other side of Arthur's Pass took the breath away, especially when Clive pointed out the original route of the road, across the scree slope. Otira Stagecoach Hotel was eccentric and the coffee wasn't that bad... Also glad I took the walk to Devil's Punchbowl Waterfall, although it did test my fitness levels.

Reviews: Mount Cook, Lake Tekapo and Tasman Glacier Tour from Christchurch
Guest User2024-09-21
Icebergs, pure clean lakes, freezing wild winds and getting wet as we traipsed to Tasman glacier. They provided poncho and umbrella and great commentary!
