Clive was a great guide, very helpful and knowledgeable. Followed his recommendation to take a jet boat ride at the home of jet boats, Alpine Jet. I'm glad I did, as I'm sure that I would have regretted it if I hadn't. Castle Hill was spectacular, the views from the other side of Arthur's Pass took the breath away, especially when Clive pointed out the original route of the road, across the scree slope. Otira Stagecoach Hotel was eccentric and the coffee wasn't that bad... Also glad I took the walk to Devil's Punchbowl Waterfall, although it did test my fitness levels.

A grrat day out with adequate time for investigating at various lookouts and walking tracks. Interesting commentary and friendly bus environment. The highlight of our NZ trip for my partner.

Excellent trip, well organised. Knowledgeable guide who explained every well. Train trip very enjoyable, then quite a strenuous walk up to the Devils Punchbowl waterfall (worth it though), opportunity for lunch in Arthur’s Pass village (no Keas to be seen unfortunately) then interesting stops on the way back to Christchurch including walk round Castle Hill. Nice snacks too.

Excellent day trip. Clive was a very helpful and knowledgeable guide. He took a lot of trouble to make sure that everyone had a good day out. Covered a lot of sightseeing. Highlight was the TranzAlpine train ride back to Christchurch.

We purchased three apps for each of us and installed them on each of our phones before we left. We arrived in Christchurch and had no problems with signal reception. The signal was reasonably strong, and there were no problems with searches or map navigation. The app suddenly stopped working the day we arrived in Twizel, but we contacted the customer service center and were quickly issued a new QR code, which allowed us to resume use without any problems. The price is reasonable and the value for money is excellent. We will definitely use it again.

Absolutely fantastic tour! The itinerary was a perfect balance of sight seeing and stops to break up the day. The train was a definite highlight for us, and not to be missed. Shoutout to Joel who was a fantastic tour guide, very engaging and friendly :)


