Samol gave us the best day exploring Battambang!! He’s SO friendly & enthusiastic about his home town. He picked us up in his lovely Tuc Tuc at 8.10am & dropped us off at 7.45pm!! Temples, Mini Tour of Battambang, Huge Fruit Bats, Bamboo Train, Yummy Traditional lunch, Rat BBQ (many fellow travelers tried saying it’s good!) Killing Cave, Bat Cave, Monkeys & then a Wonderous sight… millions of Bats flying out of a cave 🤩 All day Samol smiled & told us the history about everything! We also had a constant supply of water from his cool box. He constantly offered to take photos for everyone & took lots himself which he WhatsApp’d to us just after the tour! What a character he is, everyone had such a laugh! 🤣 He goes above & beyond & then some to ensure everyone has an Amazing Experience!! Thank You Samol 🙏

Host is absolutely outstanding, knowledgeable on local area, history and went above and beyond for us. True Cambodia experience. Local to Battambang and knows the area well. Highlight is Bat cave and temple, killing cave on mountain. Well organised, 5* guide and would highly recommend for both price and experience throughout.

Fantastic afternoon. The bamboo railway was exhilarating, The Killing Caves were educational and so peaceful when you consider their past. And the Bat Cave was phenomenal.

I had a wonderful day exploring Battambang with Sambol. From the start, he was genuine, knowledgeable, and full of passion and energy. The tour was perfectly planned — we visited local workshops and beautiful countryside. The bamboo train ride was great fun, and the Killing Caves were deeply moving. Sambol shared fascinating insights into Cambodia’s past and present, making every stop meaningful. His authenticity and enthusiasm made the day truly special — it felt like exploring Battambang with a local who loves and understands his country deeply. The excursion lasted all day. There were periods of rest interspersed with exploring the locals, places, landscapes, and activities. I particularly enjoyed the sunset with the monkeys, which was magnificent, the rat barbecue with the locals, and chatting with the guide. It was also very interesting to see the traditional methods of producing local specialties. I highly recommend it!

Highly recommended trip. Thanks also to the expert, attentive, and loving guide Sem. He took us to see the old colonial city, the lotus flower fields, and the rice fields, telling us about the city's recent history through the buildings. The grand finale was a fun bamboo train ride.
