Hiring a car in Kuala Lumpur is very convenient because many attractions are just places you can walk in and take a picture. Also, public transportation in Kuala Lumpur doesn't seem particularly convenient. I recommend hiring a car. However, some drivers will take you to shops where they get a commission, while others won't. You can make your own requests; don't be afraid to speak up. For example, our driver asked if we wanted to buy chocolate, and I said we didn't, and he didn't insist.★

Batu Caves, located in the northern suburbs of Kuala Lumpur, is a Hindu temple built inside a limestone cave. A giant gilded statue of Hindu war god stands at the entrance. Reaching the temple requires climbing 272 colorful steps, and one must constantly be wary of numerous monkeys!★
