Reviews: WOWPASS Card

I first looked up the locations of the WowPass machines in Japan before heading there as soon as I left the airport. There was a huge line. You can put in Japanese bills and charge them as Korean won, but the exchange rate was terrible. I think I put in 10,000 yen and got 90,000 won? Anyway, it seemed like they rounded down the decimal places, so I really lost money. The currency exchange in Myeongdong wasn't crowded, so if you exchange your money for Korean won there and then charge your card, you won't have any problems!

We purchased a 48-hour pass and used it for the Songdo Marine Cable Car, Laser Arena, XtheSKY, Lotte World, and the luge. The seaside train was sold out by midday, so we couldn't ride it. All tickets could be exchanged simply by showing the QR code purchased through trip.com at the ticket counter. Since we were with children, the luge, Lotte World, and Laser Arena were especially fun. Filming is allowed during the luge experience, but you can't operate the cart with one hand, so a GoPro or attaching your phone to your clothes with a clip would be a good idea. Even if you can't film yourself, you can purchase an experience video for 1000 yen. The Laser Arena is incredibly fun for kids who like airsoft or Fortnite. The rules were explained only in Korean or English, but it started as an individual competition, then teams were formed based on performance for a team competition. After being shot 5 times, your life temporarily drops to 0, but you respawn after waiting, which was easy. The controls are simple; you just wear a vest with a gun and shoot. You can tell when you've been shot because it vibrates. It was so much fun, I want to go again! Lotte World was on a Sunday, but from opening time until around noon, there was almost no waiting time, only 10-30 minutes. There aren't many rides, so half a day is plenty. I saw some unusual rides here and there and wondered what they were, and later found out they were available for rent on the way out. I got tired from walking around, so I definitely want to rent one next time. I went to Lotte World and then the luge, but it's a 20-minute walk, which is quite a distance. Taxis are almost impossible to find, and depending on the timing, you might have to wait in line for about 30 minutes to exchange your luge ticket, so it's a good idea to plan accordingly. I would like to use this again when I go to Busan.

Recommended for visitors to Daegu. The car has brochures about various attractions and locations in Daegu, as well as a voice navigation system that broadcasts relevant information at different locations. The drivers are all very friendly. Excellent!
