I needed an eSIM for my stay in Australia. The eSIM I bought through Trip was incredibly cheap at €10 for two weeks and 3GB of data per day. Absolutely delightful. I bought it for Turkey. The connection was simple; I connected to Turkcell myself. The signal was great everywhere, and the internet was stable. It lasted more than a week. One downside: I never received a confirmation SMS for my travel card, but we solved the problem another way. SMS was included in the package, though. The number was French, and they called several times.★

I thought the SIM card would work on a cruise (directly at sea) from Shanghai to Korea, but I was wrong. The coverage was significantly better than a SIM card that only goes to Korea or only goes to China.
