It’s super foreigner-friendly — the 3-day pass lets you hop around on the HSR pretty much as much as you want. Just a heads-up: plan your route properly, because time flies and it’s easy to miss the true “must-go” spots if you wing it.
I used mine for a Tainan run and it was totally worth it — visited 林百貨 (Hayashi Department Store) and a bunch of other places around the city. Tainan has that chill, old-soul vibe: great food, slower pace, and so many photogenic streets to wander.★

The train is cute, just like in the pictures. It departs on time, so you should arrive early. The seats are comfortable, the staff are lovely, and there are activities to do.Trip.com picks
