I bought it in advance for a trip with a friend. I bought it with a pre-charge of NT$200, so I was able to use it for my four-day trip to Taiwan without having to charge it at all. Considering the exchange rate, I think it's a good deal. If you want to exchange it at the airport, you can do so at the counter in front of the MRT ticket gates, as shown in the photo below.★

The Hong Kong Airport Express is really convenient. You can take the subway to the city or Kowloon High-speed Railway Station without leaving the airport. The carriage is clean, comfortable and spacious, and there is a luggage area with enlarged parts. It only takes two stops to take the subway to the high-speed rail station. You can also enjoy the scenery of Hong Kong along the way.★

Taipei has a well-developed subway system that is super convenient. This time, I spent 3 nights and 4 days using the subway to the fullest and eating my way around the city. The round trip from the airport to Taipei Station and unlimited subway rides were well worth the 3,000 yen. You can use it as much as you want within the validity period, so there's no need to worry about recharging. I highly recommend it!
