The night walk through the MV reserve was full of small little creatures hidden but makes the night and live so rich. We were able to spot tarantulas, frogs, birds and hear such a concert of creatures.★

This was a great excursion! Jam packed. Our tour guide Was from Marbella Tours and did an awesome job at each stop. The coffee plantation was great - we ate breakfast and drank coffee and then did a tour of the plantation and how coffee is processed. The Poás. Volcano was an experience I patience to wait for the smoke to clear which it did a few time so we could see into the crater and that clearance didn’t take long. Due to the gases we could only stay there for 20 minutes which was more than enough time. It’s a half mile hike up to the crater so prepare for that. Not bad at all. The. On to the La Paz Waterfall Garden. The animals and butterfly garden was nice. The waterfalls were spectacular. It’s wet on the walk down so proper shoes are important. Have fun so worth it. Breakfast and lunc Lhasa are included. Enjoy!★

I enjoyed our tour guide Martin, who knew so much about volcanos, history, and Costa Rican culture. He was a delight! Overall the bus trip up the volcano offered incredible views of the countryside. The higher up you go, be prepared for weather changes. It was freezing and wet because you are literally in the clouds. This can impact visibility so binoculars may be of help. If you feel slightly dizzy once you arrive you can opt to get coffee, treats, or souvenirs from a nearby shop. We were given several opportunities to take photographs of one of the oldest basilicas in CR. The Lankester Gardens is an incredible place with so many species of native and thriving plants that can't be found anywhere else. We only spent about an hour here, but it is worth another visit. Incredible pictures here too. We finished the tour with lunch at a restaurant along a river with more incredible views. Look up in the trees to find a character of a bird among multiple drooping nests. Epic day especially if weather permits!★

I recently had the absolute pleasure of taking this tour in Guanacaste - Costa Rica, and I cannot say enough about how incredible the experience was—largely thanks to our tour guide, who went far above and beyond every expectation.
