Reviews: Queenstown Wanaka Real Guns Shooting Experience [Multiple Time Slots Available + Ammunition Included]

The receptionist was a Taiwanese girl who spoke Mandarin. The first step was to watch a safety video and sign an agreement, then put on earmuffs. My child is 9 years old and shouldn't be shooting with a double-shot 22mm shotgun, but this wasn't mentioned beforehand until the instructor at the shooting range told me that we would be shooting at a directional target with a two-round gun. Actually, children should be 10 years or older to participate, but the official website states it's for 7 years and older for profit. The shooting experience was good; it's purely a tourist attraction marketed to Chinese tourists. It's a 1 hour 15-20 minute drive from Queenstown and a 15-minute drive from Wanaka to the entrance. From the entrance, you drive into a private valley on a gravel road for about 3 minutes to reach the entrance.

It was pretty good, I had a lot of fun, but the road was a bit difficult to drive on. This shop was almost entirely frequented by Chinese tourists.

The kids loved it, so we bought a five-ride pass and my little sister tried it out too. The buffet at the mountaintop restaurant had a wide variety of dishes, and they tasted pretty good! It was windy on the mountain, so we dressed warmly for our rest.
