Reviews: Brisbane Mirimar cruise + Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary one-day tour [optional Round-trip boat]
Guest User2026-03-26
This is a course where you take a boat on the Brisbane River to a koala farm. The view of Brisbane from the river is absolutely beautiful. The river and the riverside mansions blend so well together that I found myself wondering what kind of people live in such a place... The koala farm turned out to be a zoo. The sleepy koalas didn't seem to have any intention of welcoming guests, haha. It makes sense, considering they sleep 20 hours a day. This course is great; I recommend it.
Reviews: Brisbane River Cruise and Koala Sanctuary Visit

This trip was fabulous, the boat trip is excellent. Informative commentary on the way there (which isn’t intrusive so you can still grab a tea / coffee/ food etc), on the way back there is no commentary so it’s the perfect time to have a glass of wine and watch the beautiful houses and scenery along the river. The sanctuary is great. The couple of hours allowed for it on this trip is perfect. It’s relatively small for a zoo but it has all the interesting Aussie animals, the koala moments extra was fab, we saw so many kangaroos who are free to roam on a big field you can walk in and also platypus and the croc show was very popular with my husband and son as was the live birds of prey show- that was the best I had seen. You won’t regret booking this trip.
Reviews: Brisbane Sirromet Wines Exploration Tour (Winery Visit/Wine Tasting/Behind-the-Scenes Stories/Lunch)

There are no issues with the tasting itself, but the only question is how to get to the winery. In my opinion, if the winery that offered the tasting also included a transfer for an additional fee, that would be great. Getting there is difficult and time-consuming, requiring public transportation and a taxi.
