We booked the 0850 slot but was then told that the 0850 slot was fully booked and that we were given an option of an earlier slot of 0750, which I accepted. A day later, we were informed again that the slot for 0850 was open again. Despite the confusion and constant change of schedule timing by the company, we had a great experience flying in the helicopter and glacier hike. The tour guides were very helpful and friendly. We ended up going for the 1150 slot as it was raining early in the morning and that the morning slot was cancelled.

Compared to the Tasman Glacier hike, this one isn't as popular, but the route is indeed quite long and transportation isn't as convenient as in Tasman. I'd recommend considering hiking here; it's more suitable for those with a car. If you're not driving, it might be quite challenging.
