There's a small exchange room near the Yaesu Exit of Tokyo Station; it's a bit hard to find, but the exchange process is smooth. It's with JR East, not Tokai; make sure you get the company right. A round trip to Aomori will break even, and you can then go to smaller towns like Hachinohe and Morioka. You can also ride the JR trains freely throughout Tokyo. It's good value for money.★

This trip didn't really pay off, but the pass itself was convenient. When picking up your ticket at Shin-Osaka Station, be careful to distinguish between JR Tokai and JR West.Trip.com picks
