🚌 Our one-day trip to Hallstatt & Salzburg was a comfy, scenic ride with a guide who knew everything from salt mines to Mozart’s breakfast habits (probably). Hallstatt was straight out of a fairytale—plenty of time to shop, snap pics, and pretend we lived there. Salzburg? Gorgeous, but the tour felt more like “find your own Mozart.” Lots of free time, which was fun, but I’d have loved more guided insight. Still, between the charm, the laughs, and the souvenirs I didn’t need but bought anyway, it was a delightful day. Would I go again? Absolutely—with colder weather and a thirst for Schnitzle, Sachertocht. Pictures I took are has many has my phone memory card would accept. Thanks again for the day trip! Time goes by so fast ...

I was surprised to enjoy this place. I also learned a lot about an essential mineral. I had a lot of fun riding down the wooden slide. You’ll need to wear a miner’s overalls which they provide. I highly suggest you wear pants under it. Fun!

Our trip to Hallstatt and Salzburg was a beautiful experience overall. While the schedule felt a bit rushed at times, we still had an amazing time exploring both destinations. Hallstatt was absolutely stunning—we especially loved enjoying pizza with a breathtaking lake view, which was definitely a highlight of the trip. In Salzburg, the historical tour was insightful and gave us a great glimpse into the city’s rich heritage. A special mention to our tour guide, Olga, who was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the journey. She made the experience even more enjoyable with her guidance and warm approach. Despite the slightly tight schedule, the experience was memorable and well worth it. Definitely recommended!
Reviews: From Vienna: Mountains, Hallsttat & Salzburg Guided Day Tour

I joined this tour when planning my first trip to Austria as a graduation trip. ✈️ It was safer than going to Hallstatt on my own, and most importantly, the tour guide and staff were very kind and helpful, so I felt at ease. We had about two hours of free time in Hallstatt, which was just the right length. In Salzburg, we had a brief guided tour for the first few minutes, followed by free time. Both guides explained things in relatively simple English, which even a Japanese person like me could understand. 🙌🏻 I joined with a friend this time, but if I have the chance to visit Austria again, I'd like to join with my partner or family!

Remember to bring cash for bathroom use in Hallstad; some places won't let you use the restroom and you'll have to buy something to get change. For that perfect photo, be patient with the influencers who will try to avoid you.
