Our guide was great, he spoke about the region and provided some history during our bus ride to the trail head. The hike is STRENUOUS! Fortunately it was not a problem for me and most of our group. However several people were not in good physical condition and had a very difficult time hiking up the mountain. Due to this situation we had limited time at the top. Otherwise it was a great excursion and I would do it again.

Lovely bus ride...great views... energetic hike to the farm..informative talk from Tom..nice apple pie and coffee..good stop off at The Monument and Rising Tides.. Darlene entertained us with her music..was great fun.

Enjoyed all the information we received about Viking life. Our guide was excellent. He has dual citizenship in Norway and Australia and was well spoken with great insights into Norwegian life too. The farm was very interesting. The young lady in costume that was our guide there was very knowledgeable about Viking life. We found the visit to Viking planet to be very informative. We especially enjoyed the opportunity to take pictures with a green screen that turned us into Vikings. Would recommend this if you want to understand the Viking history and lifestyle.


