We had a wonderful time with George. We drove through the mountains, via olive groves and vineyards to Knossos Palace. George introduced us to a guide for the Palace, Maria, who was excellent. Throughout the tour George informed us of everything from how olive oil is made to the occupations by the Venetians and Turks. The Cathedral of St Minas was utterly spectacular and after visiting the Castello George showed us some restaurants with a view that also served delicious food. A thoroughly enjoyable day. ★

We had a great personal tour, it was more than we expected. From the outset, stopping at the Place before any of the cruise ships had their offshore excursions begin, to look around the old villages after enjoying olive oil the traditional way, Ed (Stavros) had our best interests at heart, all presented with humour and honesty. For me the highlight was picking and eating the Strawberries. This is the tour to do.★

We had a beautiful day with Nico - he was a fantastic guide and beautiful person. The cave of Zeus was closed so Nico improvised- he knows so many people in the mountains - so he was able to take us to a local family who makes fresh goat yogurt- that we were able to sample. He took us to a lovely mountain top restaurant , sampled the fresh produce of the mountains and great history lesson of Crete. The palace of Knossos was incredible to see and experience. Nico made the day incredible and special for us.
