I used snorkeling during a trip with friends. After the guide gave us a lesson on how to snorkel, we actually went underwater and were surprised to see so many fish even in the shallows.
Reviews: 3-hour diving and snorkeling experience in the Kerama Islands of Okinawa City, Japan [summer-limited snorkeling activity/pickup and drop-off at designated locations in Naha City]

The tour group consisted of 4 people plus crew, totaling 6 people, with approximately 20-25 tourists, which was sufficient to ensure everyone's safety. The tour leader was fluent in Japanese and Korean, and there was also an English-speaking staff member and a Taiwanese staff member who spoke Mandarin. All details and precautions were explained in four languages. The snorkeling area had safety boundaries, which made me, a not-so-swimming person, feel very safe and secure, and the experience was excellent. The underwater photographer was a very good photographer, but due to the large number of people and their movement, he might not be able to take photos of everyone. If you see him, remember to stop him and ask for your picture! Another very important point is that since it's a fast boat, if you have a history of seasickness, remember to take motion sickness medication!
