I do not recommend coming to Izmir in the summer season. It is way too hot in Ephesus and the ruins are crowded. House of Virgin Mary was interesting and the water fountain tasted fresh. Tour guide of Crowded House tours was great and knowledgeable and kept us in the shade when it was possible, but the car that took us to the airport was barely able to cool us off because the heat was so strong here. 40+ degrees Celsius and the AC was always fighting a losing battle.

Great tour guide and driver, arrived just in time. Learned so much about the history from our guide, he allowed time for pictures and knew exactly the time to visit each place when there was no crowd. Lunch was amazing! This was by far one of the best tours I’ve done.

Excellent trip. Our guide Pinar was the best. So friendly and knowledgeable informative. She was brilliant with our kids aged 5 and 7. We saw all the sights we wanted to see and they tailor made our trip to suit our needs. We also went to a Turkish Delight shop to sample (and buy) some yummy treats!


