Arun is the best. At the temple, he explains the rituals of the worshippers and the sequence of events in such a way that you also understand the background and history of Hinduism. Exploring Jaffna with him on a scooter feels more like being out with a good friend. I had slept so badly the night before because it was really cold in my hut. After lunch at a temple where everyone gets a free meal, he told me I could lie down under a tree in front of the next temple and take a siesta. He didn't mind at all. So sweet. Completely refreshed, I was then able to visit the library and Fort Frederik. Here again, I was impressed by his deep understanding of both the colonial history and the more recent history during and after the civil war. Thank you, Arun. Again: you're the best.
