Honestly, it's really just so-so. Nearly 40 minutes of the two and a half hours are spent going through the locks, and the section of the canal is dark and there's nothing there. The scenery on the Qiantang River is pretty good for about half an hour, and you can see the Qianjiang New City light show, but you can see that from the City Balcony, which might be more impressive. In short, I don't recommend going on the ride; it's extremely boring.★

Stated it is foreigner friendly but the guide was only speaking mandarin. Not gonna learn anything here but at least we got to see Pamir plateau and White Sand Lake, I guess. Anyway, they won’t stop for Mustagh or red canyon, just passing through which was quite dissapointed because we expecting to get to Mustagh. Understandable probably due to short of time but oh well. It is still a nice trip, I guess. They squeeze us in in a very last minute.Trip.com picks
