Reviews: From Tbilisi: Explore the Caucasus Mountains Kazbegi tour

The places seen on the tour were just as described in the tour description. We saw everything and it was all beautiful!! The bus was very comfortable. The tour lasted from 9am-8pm so plan for a full day. Bring enough cash (20 GEL) for the extra ride to the Gergeti Trinity Church since it is totally worth it! Also bring cash for the lunch and any snacks along the way (20-50 GEL). Only complaint was lunch was at the Best Western in Gudauri. While the food itself was not bad, travelers from the US at least don’t typically want to go to a hotel chain for a meal on a special tour. Otherwise loved it. Especially for how affordable the tour is.

Overall, we had a positive experience. The organization was a bit of a letdown, as we booked a tour with a Russian-speaking guide, but were put on a bus with an English-speaking guide. However, we were satisfied because the guide and driver were so caring and understanding, for which we are extremely grateful! The tour was interesting.

The tour was very well organized and everything went smoothly. Our guide, Nick, had a great attitude and made the experience even more enjoyable. He shared a lot of interesting facts and stories, which made the trip both fun and informative. Highly recommended!
