Reviews: 1-day tour from Osaka to world heritage Koyasan | Danjo Garan + Okunoin pilgrimage route
Guest User2026-10-08
The best option for visiting Mount Koya is a small day tour. Public transportation to Mount Koya involves many transfers and takes a long time, so this small group tour was very comfortable! There were 5 of us on this trip, and our guide, Hanazawa, spoke Chinese, Japanese, and English, so communication was seamless throughout the tour. Hanazawa introduced us to various natural, historical, and cultural aspects of Mount Koya and even took us to sample local cuisine! Mount Koya is definitely worth a visit—a tranquil journey not to be missed.

The trip was very well organized, with a group of just the right size and a well-planned itinerary. The group leader shared interesting and informative insights. What made the trip truly special was the peaceful atmosphere and the area’s rich historical depth. The fire ritual was unforgettable, as was the walk through the mysterious cemetery. A truly memorable and enriching experience!

Reviews: Japan Nara Park & Kyoto ancient capital & Fushimi Inari Taisha 1-day tour, adorable deer interaction
Guest User2026-11-01
Although it was an independent trip, I booked this at the last minute to resolve one day's itinerary concerns. Thanks to meeting such a great guide, we were able to travel comfortably for the day. I casually mentioned that I was coming down with a cold, but you worried about me and helped us out, making this trip truly wonderful. Thanks to Guide Seo Geum-bong, my whole family was satisfied with the trip. Thank you.

I went on a Kyoto and Nara tour, and since the schedule is too tight to cover everything in one day on my own, I'm glad I took the tour. The timing was perfect, just as you said. You always showed us the meeting places via Google Maps and pointed out photo spots. I also liked that we had free time once we got off at each location. You recommended great restaurants and offered to help with Japanese interpretation if needed, which I really appreciated!! However, I think it would be even better if the atmosphere on the bus allowed people to listen if they wanted to and rest if they wanted to.

Reviews: Kyoto in a Day: The Ultimate Top 4 Highlights Tour (From Osaka/Kyoto)

Oscar, our guide, was excellent in both English and Chinese, providing detailed explanations and taking care of everyone in the group! The overall itinerary was well-paced, with a well-planned route that made the trip enjoyable without being tiring. The guide led us through the interior and exterior of Nijo Castle. In Arashiyama, he guided us to the entrance of the bamboo grove; at Kinkaku-ji and Fushimi Inari, he led us to the entrance of the scenic area, explaining the route, time, and pick-up point. It was fantastic! Although we booked a 46-person group due to the heat, it was actually a small group with a guide and driver. Excellent value for money, great value for money, and very convenient to get on and off at Kyoto Station. Thank you! We also met another guide, Gao, plus a very knowledgeable international student! He helped take care of the Chinese-speaking tourists in the group and took photos for us. Thank you! My husband got along very well with him.
